How to Apply to the Executive LL.M. Program

The application deadline for attorneys with U.S. credentials is Fall 2008 admission is July 1, 2008.  For attorneys with non-U.S. credentials, we will be accepting applications for the Fall 2009 semester soon and the deadline for those applications will be December 1 2008.

The application process for the E-LLM is administered by the Office of Graduate Admissions, just as it is for all other LL.M. programs at NYU School of Law.  Their websites can answer your questions about when to apply, how to apply, and other general questions. Prospective E-LLM students may apply online using a streamlined and convenient application process by clicking here.

Applications are not reviewed by the Committee on Graduate Admissions until all required materials and the application fee have been received.

Applicants to the E-LLM who wish to participate in the one-week summer course on the New York City campus in August 2008 are strongly encouraged to submit their application and all required materials as early as possible and by the preferred deadline of June 2008. Decisions for applicants to the part-time E-LL.M. in Taxation will be released as they are made to ensure sufficient time for necessary administrative proceedings in advance of the summer course.

While we are unable to accept applications for Spring 2009 entry at this time, we will welcome applications from U.S.-trained J.D.s for entry into the part-time E-LL.M. program for the Spring 2009 semester starting in September 2008. All foreign-trained attorneys must start in the Fall semester. Any prospective students interested in beginning this online program in Spring 2009 should be sure to revisit the Office of Graduate Admissions Web site in September to receive the most updated information for the new application cycle.
